University of Waterloo Canada Scholarship 2021

University of Waterloo has its root dated back to the year 1956. The Academic institution has expanded over the years to become one of the top universities in Canada and the world at large.

It is a public university with a main campus in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The Academic institution has a variety of programs to help local and international students achieve their academic goals. And one of such programs is the scholarship scheme made available to students.

Entrance Scholarships-Undergraduate:

This Scholarship is accessible to international students to study any of the courses in the university. Some of the scholarships are fully funded, while others are partially funded.

The Scholarships allow the institution to celebrate and recognize your achievements.

Entrance scholarships are available if you’re starting full-time first-year degree studies and are beginning university or college for the first time.

 Kindly Note:

  1. Scholarships are awarded primarily on academic and personal achievement. Bursaries, another type of assistance, are awarded based on financial needs
  2. Scholarships are awarded in mid-May once we receive updated grades from Ontario high schools. Details will be listed in your Waterloo Quest account starting in mid-May. Look for the Entrance Awards tab beside the name of your program.

Waterloo International Master’s Award of Excellence:

This is meant for international students who wish to undertake Masters degree programs that are research-based, at the University of Waterloo.

Faculties will nominate eligible students based on the Faculty’s award allocation. Students will be selected based on academic excellence as demonstrated through their application for admission to the graduate program. The scholarship award is valued at $2,500 per term for a maximum of 5 terms.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be International students with a valid Canadian study permit who are registered full time and assessed international tuition fees.

The scholarship will normally be awarded to Masters degree students in research-based programs (thesis or major research paper). Only students entering the first term of their program are eligible. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence through criteria established by the Faculty and must meet the academic progress requirements of their program and not have outstanding probationary admission requirements.
